Good Friday

Good Friday

Good Friday is a religious holiday observed primarily by Christians remembering the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary. It is also known as Black Friday, Holy Friday, Great Friday or Easter Friday refers to the Friday in Easter week.
The Catholic Church treats Good Friday as a fast day which means that they only eat two smalls meals in a day that does not equal up to a full meal and contains no meat.
The United States Good Friday is not a government holiday at the federal level; however, individual states may observe the holiday.
As, the granddaughter of two, now deceased, Sunday School Teachers, I have to say that I need to do better in observing the fact that Jesus Christ died on Calvary for my sins.

"Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. ~John 11: 25-26

May everyone have a blessed weekend and a happy Easter!!!!! My son and I will be hunting eggs with the cousins. Don't forget Sunrise Services 7am at Poplar Springs Baptist Church or come out to Foothills Community Church. We would love to have you!
