My cup runneth over!
As this semester wraps up I have to say "whew", I survived. I feel blessed that I have a wonderful family that has helped me along by making me feel loved. My aunt cooked the best supper tonight and my son got to play with his little cousin. We went walking in the lumber yard watching the kids run and play and laugh! The laughter is the sweetest sound God could have let me hear. I never thought that I could be happy again after my second failed marriage, but the truth is that I am happier than I have ever been. Raising my son is hard, but it is also rewarding! I had a great day filled with love and laughter. My cup runneth over! :)

In The Garden
As I get older I have started to focus my attention on gardening. I just assume that I get this from my family because I do not know of many seasons at our house that we have went without garden. I did not realize how hard gardening can be until this year.
My neighbor came by and plowed me up a garden spot and left some mood-a grass in it. For those who don't know what mood-a grass is....let's just say it is aggravating to rake out of a garden. Mood-a grass is Bermuda grass. I have blisters from raking just three rows of it out just yesterday. I managed to get three rows of corn planted and I am just getting started. I have fed my Queen Elizabeth rose bush with miracle grow rose food and now it is blooming out beautiful light pink roses that smell amazing! My hosta that I planted last year came back this year!
We reap what we sow can be applied to everyday life and not just in our gardens. He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod of his anger shall fail. (Proverbs 22:8 KJV) They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. (Psalm 126:5 KJV) A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. (Luke 8:5 KJV) My grandmother used to say, "idle hands are a devils workshop." I did not know what she meant by that until I was older. My garden keeps me busy and out of trouble.
When winter comes I can look in my freezer and take out some really good soup starter and have no worries because I will have something good and homemade to eat. I will enjoy it more than a store- bought product. I hope everyone considers gardening. It may be hard work, but in the harvest season it can be quite rewarding.

Good Friday
Good Friday
Good Friday is a religious holiday observed primarily by Christians remembering the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary. It is also known as Black Friday, Holy Friday, Great Friday or Easter Friday refers to the Friday in Easter week.
The Catholic Church treats Good Friday as a fast day which means that they only eat two smalls meals in a day that does not equal up to a full meal and contains no meat.
The United States Good Friday is not a government holiday at the federal level; however, individual states may observe the holiday.
As, the granddaughter of two, now deceased, Sunday School Teachers, I have to say that I need to do better in observing the fact that Jesus Christ died on Calvary for my sins.
"Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. ~John 11: 25-26
May everyone have a blessed weekend and a happy Easter!!!!! My son and I will be hunting eggs with the cousins. Don't forget Sunrise Services 7am at Poplar Springs Baptist Church or come out to Foothills Community Church. We would love to have you!
